The 20^th Annual Meeting of the Texas Association of Watershed Sponsors 
will meet in the *_Ameribank Convention Center_* in Corpus Christi 
beginning at *1:00 pm on Monday, October 26^th *..

Speakers from the *Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board*; the 
*UDSA–Natural Resource Conservation Service*; the *Texas Commission on 
Environmental Quality*; and the *National Watershed Coalition *will 
update us on*State funding* for dam operation, maintenance and repair*; 
Federal funding *for the watershed program*, State regulations and the 
upcoming events.*

Changes to update the TAWS Bylaws will also be recommended for 
approval.The proposed changes are as follows:

1.Section 6.02 “No Sponsoring Organization shall have more than one 
_two_ members on the Steering Committee.”

2.Section 6.06 “The annual meeting of the Steering Committee shall be 
held immediately after, and at the same place as, the annual meeting of 
the Association.”

The Nominating Committee will recommend a slate of Officers to serve 
2-year terms expiring in 2017 and Steering Committee members to serve 
3-year terms expiring in 2018.
